Amazon Shakopee Fulfillment Center Tour

Program:

 

This one-hour walking tour will take you through the operations process of what happens after a customer clicks "Buy" on Amazon.com. See firsthand how employees and technology work seamlessly together to get your order out the door. Amazon has more than 100,000 robotic units worldwide that work alongside hundreds of thousands of employees in fulfillment centers. Amazon utilizes these high-end technologies within fulfillment centers to speed up order processing times and increase storage capacity. This tour is sure to amaze!

 

Due to the unique nature of this program, please note the following:

  • All attendees MUST SHOW a valid government issued drivers license/ID/PASSPORT prior to being allowed on-site.
  • Tour participants may bring keys, wallets and cellphones on the tour. Please leave all other personal items at home or in your car, including bags, purses, briefcases, backpacks, pocketbooks and binoculars.
  • Tour participants must wear flat, closed-toe and closed-heel shoes (no sandals, clogs or high heels). Additionally, long hair must be pulled above the shoulders, and long-hanging jewelry, scarves and ties are not permitted.
  • Amazon is a weapon-free workplace. Amazon reserves the right to turn away guests if they are unwilling to tour the fulfillment center without a weapon.
  • No cameras or other video equipment are allowed on the tour. Guests may bring cellphones, as long as they do not use their phone to take pictures or audio/video recordings.
  • No food or drink is permitted on the tour.

 

Schedule:

  • 2:15 - 2:30 PM - Registration
  • 2:30 - 3:30 PM - Tour
  • All are invited for an informal social following the tour at Dangerfields located near the Amazon Fulfillment Center


Cost:

  • FREE for current Engineering Alliance Minnesota members and non-member employees of Engineering Alliance Minnesota Premier and Diamond Partners.

  • $60: Non-members
  • Engineering Alliance Minnesota Platinum Partners receive 50% off individual and group non-member registrations.
